Caring for Your Tiles
Your tiles are made to be gathered around for years to come — a little care will keep them beautiful for every game night ahead.
Skip the shuffle. We do not recommend using shuffling cards or other shuffling accessories, as this can cause scratching and chipping — especially on the dark backs, which show wear more visibly than a lighter finish. Instead, gently mix tiles by hand or turn them face down with care.
Keep them dry. Wipe tiles with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth after use. Avoid soaking, submerging, or cleaning with harsh chemicals.
Mind the temperature. Extreme heat or cold (like a hot car or a cold garage) can cause warping or cracking over time. Store your set at room temperature.
Wipe up spills right away. Tea, wine, and snacks are part of the fun — but liquids left to sit can seep into engravings or discolor the surface.
Store them properly. Keep tiles in their box or pouch when not in use, away from direct sunlight, which can fade colors over time.
Handle engraved details gently. Avoid scrubbing painted or engraved numbers and characters with abrasive materials — a soft cloth is all you need.
Be mindful of the dark backs. The rich, dark finish on the reverse side is part of what gives these tiles their signature look — but it also means scratches are more visible than they would be on a lighter tile. Handle tiles gently and avoid dragging them across hard or textured surfaces.
A Note on Natural Variation
Because each set is handcrafted, slight variations in color, veining, or texture are part of the charm — not a flaw. No two tables ever look quite the same, and we love that.
